Author Bio

Chris J. Murphy, is a survivor, a seeker, and a storyteller. As an Adult Child of  Alcoholic and Sex addicted parents, he was raised  during the 1960s and 70s in a highly dysfunctional environment marked by neglect, sexual abuse and trauma.  Chris has spent decades battling the unseen wounds of his past—struggling with his own addiction, self-destruction, and the deep-rooted fear of unworthiness and abandonment. His journey toward healing led him through the difficult but transformative path of therapy, self-discovery, and recovery.


In Letters to My Dead Parents, Chris candidly shares his life’s struggles, from childhood pain to the complexities of adult addiction and redemption. Through raw, unfiltered honesty, he hopes to give voice to those who have suffered in silence and to remind others that healing is possible, no matter how broken the past may seem.


Today, Chris is committed to sharing his story by  living an authentic life, free from the shadows of his former self. He hopes that his story will help others find their own path to self-acceptance, recovery, and personal freedom.
